Liposuction Tailored for You

Very often, our patients want to slim down several places at once, but the procedure is just as effective for a single trouble spot as well.

We offer VASER® Lipo at our practice. This advanced liposuction method uses ultrasonic energy to break up fat cells, making them easier to remove and increasing post-procedure comfort. Many people considering liposuction seek out VASER® Lipo after researching the procedure, and Dr. Campanile believes that he is able to achieve very high-quality outcomes with this method.

Liposuction procedures are performed under general anesthesia, so you will sleep comfortably throughout the procedure. Dr. Campanile begins by making a few small incisions where he can insert the cannula, a thin medical wand that is used to break up and remove fat. A tumescent fluid is administered to the surgical area to reduce bleeding, increase comfort, and prepare the fat tissue for removal. Fat removal is achieved by breaking up the fat stores with a surgical wand known as a cannula. In the case of VASER® Lipo, the tip of the cannula emits ultrasonic energy waves, which rupture the cell walls of the fat cells and make this fat tissue easier to remove.

After fat is removed from all areas, the small incisions are stitched and the patient begins the recovery period. A compression garment may need to be worn for a few weeks after surgery to improve circulation and protect the quality of results. Most of our patients are ready to return to light activities after one to two weeks, with more strenuous activities added back in after three to four weeks.
