Dr. Francesco Campanile performed an arm lift on this patient. This patient came to Dr. Campanile after having lost a significant amount of weight. Although she was happy with her loss of fat, she was very unhappy with the amount of excess skin it left behind. As a result, she scheduled a consultation with Dr. Campanile to discuss her surgical options.

After reviewing her case, Dr. Campanile recommended an arm lift procedure for this patient. During an arm lift procedure, the excess skin of the arm is removed in an elliptical fashion. The resulting scar varies depending on the amount of skin removed, but typically runs from the armpit down to the elbow. Dr. Campanile is unique in the fact that his resulting scar runs along the back of the arm, instead of along the inside as in the traditional arm lift technique. Dr. Campanile has found that patient satisfaction is substantially higher with his scar positioning because the scar is less visible. Additionally, Dr. Campanile performs all of his own suturing, and so patients can be guaranteed that they have an expert plastic's closure, which results in more minimal scarring.
