This patient scheduled a consultation with expert board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Francesco Campanile, because she was unhappy with the excess skin and fat in her arms. After significant weight loss, the skin oftentimes does not regain its elasticity. Although the individual may be happy with the weight loss, the residual excess skin can often hinder their happiness about such an accomplishment. 

After taking the time to review her case, Dr. Campanile recommended an arm lift procedure for this patient. During this procedure, excess skin and fat is removed from the arms. Most times, patients are most concerned with the resulting scar from the procedure. As a result, Dr. Campanile chooses to put the final scar on the backside of the arm, instead of the underside as in a traditional arm lift. Dr. Campanile also does all of his own stitching, ensuring that each patient gets an expert plastic closure, which helps to diminish the appearance of the final scar. 

This patient is shown here approximately 2 months after her arm lift surgery with Dr. Campanile. As you can see, this patient's arm appearance improved greatly. Not only was a substantial amount skin and tissue removed, but the scar is located in such a position that it is not very noticeable. As a result, she is very happy with her results and feels confident in how her arms look.
