This patient scheduled a private consultation with board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Francesco Campanile, because she was unhappy with her breast appearance. She was concerned with sagging and additionally wished her breasts to be slightly smaller. As a result, she sought the expert advice of Dr. Francesco Campanile to see what type of surgical intervention he would recommend based on her concerns.
After discussing all of her possible options, this patient decided to move forward with breast reduction surgery. During this surgery, not only was a small amount of breast tissue removed but, the nipple areola complex was elevated to a more youthful position above the inframammary fold. This type of procedure results in scars around the areola, as well as a vertical scar and an anchor scar within the inframammary fold. Scarring is a concern for most patients however, Dr. Campanile does all of his own stitching and so every patient has an expert plastics closure, minimizing the scars as much as possible.
The patient is shown here both before and after her breast reduction surgery. As you can see in this patient's after photo, her breasts appear much more youthful and elevated as compared to before. This patient was thrilled with the results of her breast reduction surgery performed by Dr. Campanile, and feels much more confident in the way her breasts appear.
