This patient booked a private consultation with Denver plastic surgeon, Dr. Francesco Campanile, because she was unhappy with the excess fat deposits in her abdomen and back region. Oftentimes, no matter how often a patient may exercise or how well they may eat, certain fat deposits remain stubborn and refuse to disappear. This can be due to a genetic predisposition which determines where in your body fat cells can occur in a more concentrated number, causing a ‘problem area’.
After meeting board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Francesco Campanile, it was determined that this patient was a candidate for liposuction. During liposuction procedures, fat is removed from desired areas, and the area is re-contoured. In this patient’s case, because there were no issues with skin laxity, she was a candidate for the traditional tumescent liposuction technique. During this procedure, a special solution is first introduced into the desired area that will be addressed. This solution contains components to help break up the fat and control bleeding during surgery. Then, fat is permanently removed using special cannulas, and the abdominal region is re-shaped.
As you can see in this patient’s after photo, her abdominal and back contour are significantly improved even just 1 week after her liposuction procedure. The excess fat above the abdominal wall was removed, giving her a much more lean and streamlined contour. This patient was thrilled with her liposuction results, performed by Denver plastic surgeon, Dr. Francesco Campanile.
