This patient came to Dr. Francesco Campanile because, she was unhappy with her abdominal region. Although this woman was fit and had minimal fat, her abdomen still protruded as a result of pregnancy. After pregnancy, the recuts muscles of the abdomen are distended and no amount of exercise will return them back to a pre-pregnancy state. 

Few women are candidates for a mini- tummy tuck. During a mini-tummy tuck procedure, the abdominal muscles are surgically placed in a more medial location as in a regular tummy tuck. However, only the skin below the belly button is excised and the belly button remains in the same place. As a result, the best candidates for this procedure are women who have a slight amount of excess skin below the belly button and distended abdominal muscles as a result of pregnancy. 

As you can see, after this woman's tummy tuck surgery, her abdomen appears much tighter and sculpted than it did before. This patient is shown here approximately 2 months after her tummy tuck with Dr. Campanile. She is very happy with her results and feels confident in how her abdomen looks.
