What BOTOX® Can Do
BOTOX® Cosmetic is FDA-approved for treating lines and wrinkles on the brow and around the eyes.* This treatment, performed on an outpatient basis at our medical spa in Denver, temporarily paralyzes the muscles that have created wrinkles in the skin. Repeated facial expressions, such as smiling and frowning, combined with the loss of skin elasticity, cause wrinkles and lines to form on your once-smooth complexion. Stopping the muscles that emphasize these wrinkle-causing movements helps diminish the appearance and progression of wrinkles.*
What BOTOX® Cannot Do
BOTOX® Cosmetic is not a wrinkle filler. The wrinkles on your face will not be filled in by BOTOX®, but they can become less noticeable.* BOTOX® Cosmetic is also not capable of filling in the “hollowness” in the cheeks that often comes with age, and will not reduce sagging of the cheeks or jowls.
