Run your errands, cook and freeze some meals (or set take-out menus by your phone), and take care of any necessities for the upcoming week before coming in for surgery.
You may also want to set up your recovery area. Keep those take-out menus, the TV remote, a stack of books or any other immediate needs you might have close at hand.
