Men and women considering a tummy tuck in Denver may not be aware of a new technique I’ve developed. Called the Combined LipoAbdominoplasty Sculpting & Shaping (C.L.A.S.S.) technique, this procedure combines both lipo and a tummy tuck in a unique way to deliver improved outcomes.* Since pioneering this new methodology, I have been excited to see the improved contours this method delivers to my patients.*
C.L.A.S.S. is inspired by techniques from Europe, South America and North America, taking the best qualities from the different methods to produce a single procedure. Traditionally, a tummy tuck did not include liposuction, because there were concerns regarding the effect that the surgical wands could have on the skin’s blood supply during abdominoplasty. Complications during surgery could result in tissue loss and scarring. A team of Brazilian surgeons determined a way to respect the blood supply in the abdomen in a way that still allowed for liposuction, leading to a better final shape following the procedure.*
Not only does our Denver tummy tuck look better, the recovery time is also shorter than the 2 to 4 week average required by traditional tummy tucks.* Best of all, the use of surgical drains are avoided in over 98 percent of C.L.A.S.S technique procedures. These drains, which patients need to empty themselves throughout the recovery process, are bypassed through the use of special sutures that help prevent or diminish large internal fluid retention.*
The Surgeon’s Choice
Although the C.L.A.S.S. technique itself does take slightly longer to perform, the recovery process is so much easier on the patient* that I feel taking the extra time on the table is well worth the effort. The end results present unequaled final contours over traditional tummy tucks in my opinion. Denver residents owe it to themselves to consider this cutting-edge surgical technique.
