Many patients seek the expertise of board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Francesco Campanile when it comes to revisionary breast augmentation surgery. This 50 year old, 131 lb patient had previously had a breast augmentation and lift surgery performed by a different doctor a year and a half prior to consulting Dr. Campanile.
Dr. Campanile took the time to review her case and recommended the revisionary breast surgery. As you can see, her implants were bottoming out and the scarring from her first surgery were significant. In addition, she had significant complications with the pockets created in the first surgery. During her revisionary lift and augmentation surgery, Dr. Campanile performed a capsulectomy and closed off her pockets both laterally and inferiorly, the right more than the left. He also corrected the shape of her breast, adding a horizontal component and revised her scars. Again, he did this on the right side more than the left due to her previous abnormalities. Because of the complexity of this case, Dr. Campanile additionally used Strattice LifeCell to help support the weak tissues in her breast. Strattice LifeCell is extremely helpful in complex revisionary cases because, it helps strengthen the tissue matrix, which in turn helps to support the implant and create the best results possible. Despite the complexity of this case, Dr. Campanile was able to use this patient's previous 350 cc moderate plus silicone implants since they had not been compromised. They were an appropriate size and volume for the dimensions of her chest.
As you can see, the appearance of this patient's breasts were significantly improved after her revisionary breast augmentation and breast lift surgery with Dr. Campanile. She is very happy with her results and feels more confident about how her breasts look.
