This patient initially sought the expertise of Dr. Francesco Campanile because, she was unhappy with her midsection. Not only did she have a significant amount of excess skin and fat in her abdominal region from previous pregnancies. But, her abdominal muscles had also become more lax as a result of these pregnancies. Regardless of how much she exercised or dieted, her abdominal region wouldn't go back to a pre-pregnancy state.

After discussing her options with Dr. Francesco Campanile, she decided to move forward with a CLASS Tummy Tuck. During this procedure, Dr. Campanile uses extensive liposuction to contour the abdomen and flanks. Then, the skin between the belly button and pubic hair line is removed, not only getting rid of the extra skin and fat, but also eliminating the stretch marks that had previously resided in that region. Additionally, the abdominal muscles are plicated together, pulling them towards the midline of the body. This not only gives an amazing contour to the abdominal region but, also pulls the oblique muscles towards the midline, which adds to the elegant contour of this patient's waist. Because of Dr. Campanile's unique techniques during the CLASS Tummy Tuck, drains were not required for this case. Drains are a nuisance post-operatively and patient satisfaction is incredibly high with this tummy tuck technique because, most times drains are not required.
