Case #47

This patient underwent a Mini Tummy Tuck with board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Francesco Campanile. Following pregnancy, her rectus abdominal muscles had become positioned more laterally and did not return to their normal position, resulting in a protrusion of the abdomen from the pressure of the internal organs that the muscles were no longer in position to completely support. Despite exercise, her body did not return to a pre-pregnancy state.

Because she did not need a significant amount of skin or tissue excised, she was an ideal candidate for a mini-tummy tuck procedure. During the surgery, the rectus muscles were surgically repositioned back into their pre-pregnancy state, and a minimal amount of skin underneath the belly button was excised. The result is a tighter and sculpted abdomen with the abdominal bulge completely eliminated. The patient is shown here approximately 2 months after her mini-tummy tuck. Individual results may vary.
