Let People Know

Your inner circle should be aware of your procedure so that you have emotional support if you need it (or even just friends willing to bring over dinner). The last thing you want to do is field numerous phone calls asking why you had surgery. Tell any concerned parties well in advance, and designate one spokesperson to fill everyone else in after the procedure.
