There are three questions I’m often asked about breast enhancement at our Denver plastic surgery clinic:
-
How long will the surgery take?
Breast augmentation surgery itself usually takes just a few hours,* but of course a surgical procedure is never something that should be rushed or hurried. My staff and I will always take the time to ensure the operative area is washed and prepped properly, that the steps of the augmentation procedure itself are followed completely, and that all post-operative protocols are followed.
-
What kind of results can I expect?
Breast enlargements are deceptive at first because the end results will not be visible for some time.* In fact, the true breast shape will continue to slowly emerge over the course of several months following surgery.* Initially, post-surgical swelling will make it harder to determine what your final silhouette will look like, but before long you should start to see the “after” that you hoped for.*
-
What will the healing process be like?
As with any surgical procedure, it’s best for your body to just relax at first. There may be some bruising and swelling, but most patients are back on track in just a few days.* Ideally, it’s wise to continue treating yourself to a lighter schedule for a few weeks after surgery, and not do any vigorous activities or any lifting. Healing times vary, but most women who have a breast augmentation at Campanile Plastic Surgery say they’re able to resume all their normal activities after just a couple weeks.*
If you’re considering breast enlargement at our Denver offices, of course you’re more than welcome to bring any additional questions you may have along with you to your initial consultation.
