The most recent statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) indicate that minimally invasive procedures showed a significant increase in popularity last year.
Looking at the Numbers
The total number of minimally invasive cosmetic procedures increased six percent from 2011 to 2012. This continues the upward trend that’s been evident the last few years; the total increase in minimally invasive procedures from 2000 is 137 percent.
Of these procedures, BOTOX® Cosmetic injections are the most popular, with an increase of eight percent in 2012. That’s over six million injections in 2012 alone, an increase of 680 percent from the number of BOTOX® injections administered in 2000.
Soft tissue fillers like JUVÉDERM® and Restylane® have also seen an impressive increase in popularity, going up five percent since last year to nearly two million injections administered. This shows a 205 percent increase from 2000.
Small Procedures for a Big Difference
I expect minimally invasive procedures to continue gaining in popularity. You can enhance your appearance without surgery or downtime, just with a few simple injections.* This convenience, when coupled with the small price tag, makes a winning combination for anyone who wants to look their best.
